Owner Drissia Rafael a native from Fez and her husband Jean-Roger Rafael - Executive Chef and a native from Marseille, France both come from a family of restauranteurs. Apart from working alongside great chefs in France, Jean-Roger also worked in Fez kitchens under the supervision of Drissia's mother who had well known restaurants in Fez. Between them Drissia and Jean-Roger owned three very successful restaurants in New York City - Café Fes, I`auberge du Midi and Café Rafael before moving to California.
Chef Jean-Roger uses locally grown products in California, creating great classic dishes like Couscous, Tagines and B’stilla - one of the most prestigious dishes in Fez.
Fassia is the perfect introduction to mouth watering culinary heritage and creates a vivid description of an ancient and beautiful city. It offers a taste of delights and sophisticated cuisine. All bread, pastries and desserts are made daily on the premise.
